Guidelines for sex education programme
New Delhi, August 8: In the wake of a ban by some states on sex education, a committee, set-up to review its module in the country, has suggested framing of operational guidelines to help prepare the future content of adolescent education."We will be preparing operational guidelines for future reference," National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) Director-General Sujatha Rao said today.
NACO set-up the committee after states like Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Maharashtra banned the adolescent education programme.
